The Cleveland International Piano Competition works in collaboration with several companies and organizations to enhance the quality of the Competition for contestants, audience members and the general public. Working in partnership we strive to present a program that demonstrates our shared commitment to excellence, and reflects well on the entire Northeast Ohio area.

WCLV has broadcast the entire Competition since the beginning, and now also broadcasts the Competitions on the web worldwide. WCLV/Seaway Productions is now presenting a radio syndication for nationwide distribution.

The Cleveland Orchestra - Long considered one of America's great orchestras, The Cleveland Orchestra stands today among the world''s most revered symphonic ensembles. The Competition's unique collaboration with The Cleveland Orchestra, which performs for the final concerto rounds in Severance Hall, helps place the Cleveland International Piano Competition in the top echelon of music competitions worldwide.

The World Federation of International Music Competitions consists of over 100 competitions world-wide. Admission to the Federation, which is located in Geneva, Switzerland, is selective. The Competition has been a member since 1985.

Steinway is the official piano of the Competition. Steinway is the overwhelming choice of piano soloists world-wide.

The Cleveland Institute of Music has supported the Competition since its inception in 1975, now providing practice rooms for the contestants. In 2009 the Competition's Opening Ceremony will be held at CIM's Mixon Hall.  CIM is a leading international conservatory, with graduates who perform with the world''s most acclaimed musical organizations, including 33 members of The Cleveland Orchestra.

University Circle in Cleveland, Ohio is an extraordinary cultural, medical, and educational district just minutes from downtown Cleveland. In just one square mile, visitors discover arts and sciences, museums and parks, galleries and restaurants. The Competition office and the two performance venues - Severance Hall and The Cleveland Play House, are located in University Circle.

Naxos, the world's leading classical music label, released a recording of 2003 First Prize winner, Kotaro Fukuma. A recording of 2005 winner Chu-Fang Huang, as well as a recording of 2007 winner Alexander Ghindin will be available soon.

Azica Records Inc., is a Cleveland-based recording company issuing the finest jazz and classical recordings. Recordings on the Azica label have been made by three Cleveland winners - Per Tengstrand in 1997, Antonio Pompa-Baldi in 1999, and Roberto Plano in 2001.
